I have been selected by Screen International for their ‘Stars Of Tomorrow’ feature. It is an honour to have my work placed beside other great actors and filmmakers.
As part of the feature I got to do a One-to-One interview with Mike Leigh. It was great experience and he gave me some tips that I shall never forget.
Have a look at the piece about me here, and read my interview with Mike here
My short film The Good North has been selected for competition at 54th BFI London Film Festival. Thanks so much to all those who helped. It has also been selected to compete at the 11th Circuito Off Venice Short Film Festival.
I have been commissioned through Film London’s Pulse scheme to make my short film project Mulligatawny. Thanks to everyone who has helped in the development process, I can’t wait to get started.
In brief, the film is about a woman in her early 60s who is trapped in the world of racism and violence and mis-communication that is east London. Her down and out husband returns after a 2 month bender and with him comes the usual tide of hatred; Hatred of everyone, everywhere and everything. His attitude mimics the world in which they all try to live.
